How To Become A Successful Internet Entrepreneur – 4 Powerful Secrets

It actually is a life-changing decision if you are being serious about escaping your personal 9-to-5 grind. Because then you have to make some cutting changes to your habits.

But isn't this exactly what you are searching for - a life-changing experience?

Let me show you how to become a successful internet entrepreneur and set up your own online business as your powerful vehicle to make your dreams come true. But allow me to do it a little differently.

OK, first things first...

Secret #1 - Employee vs. Entrepreneur

I want you to step back for a moment and take a look on the way we all are raised and educated. This may seem to sound pretty stupid. In fact, this is where your success all starts.

When we grow up we are constantly surrounded by people who tell us what to do, what is working and what just cannot work at all - our parents, our family and friends, our teachers and trainers,

the society. We are constantly told that dedicating ourselves to school, to college or to university will surely lead to a good job and a reliable income with admiration and acknowledgment for us.

So we're giving our best and are praised for our achievements.

But What Do We Actually Do?

Are we contributing to our personal goals and dreams or are we simply following somebody else's?

The bare truth is we are trained to be employees to help somebody or - even worse - an anonymous company to reach all of their goals. Yep, we even get excited about winning an application cycle for a vacancy and "letting so many others behind".

What happens thereafter is probably one of the worst things you can ever let happen to yourself.

We start dividing our time into "their" time and "our/my" time. Into job time and leisure time.
And most people seek for the immediate gratification and satisfaction to (very) short term wishes to spend their hard-earned money fast.

Is This Anything Familiar To You?

If so, then stop doing it in this very second. That's being an employee.

You have to shift your mindset from employee to entrepreneur.

A true entrepreneur would never think of "their" time and "his/her/my" time.

Because as matter of fact, there actually is no such thing at all. It's always your time you're spending no matter what you're doing. And this is the only resource that's totally definite.

60 seconds a minute.
60 minutes an hour.
24 hours a day.
365/366 days a year.

Nobody can change this.
And it's the same for all of us.

It's always your time; it's always your life.

And don't you dare neglecting your dreams!

You've got all what it takes to succeed. The only obstacle that's in your way is the fear of failure. An entrepreneur though is searching for his/her fears to fight and overcome them. Because he/she knows for a fact:

Without failure there is no achievement.

John C. Maxwell

Failure is part of the game and it's a crucial part. Nobody would ever blame a child for falling all over again and again and again when learning how to walk. We've all done it and we've all "failed" at it to finally succeed. What if we hadn't started learning?

It's up to you to make the change of mind.

Secret #2 - Get Started Now

Let's get back to the little child example.

When we were kids we just did new things and made them a characteristic of ours. We learnt by doing; and we wouldn't think about waiting to make progress. That learning curve was one of the best we'll ever have.

As grown-ups a lot of people seek to be perfect before they think they could start something so big as their own business. So they shy from it or they find excuses to procrastinate and hide behind courses and coachings etc.

I've even seen people who rather spend more

money and blame it to their trainers, their coaches or their circumstances for not having taken action. That would be OK as long as they would learn their lessons. Sadly, most of them never will.

So reading further, I want you to make a commitment to yourself:

»From now on, I will no longer procrastinate and act immediately!«

With that said, let's explore the last point I like to cover today.

Secret #3 - Focus On The Next Task At Hand

"Veit, you aren't telling me anything new here. That's just wasting my time."

Actually, to think this would be a dangerous shortcut.

Remember my first point?

You're back in employee mode. You've got to shift up again to entrepreneur mode.

Here's an example to better understand what I'm trying to say.

Let's assume you were to coach a new football team. The club would have set the goal to win this year's championship to end a competitor's domination. As odds turn out to be very good, you wouldn't lose 15 games in a row and win most of them. Then the press would chase you asking questions what could be if ... five months from now.

What Would Be Your Answer?

Here's what you should be answering: "I just focus on the next game tomorrow."

This is not only a very common saying among modern day coaches, it's actually the solution to reach all of your goals. Focus on the next task at hand, one task at a time.

In other words, if you e.g. want to make $10.000 focus on making $100 first, then focus on making it 10 times, then focus on making that 10 times and you'll be making 5-figures.

Secret #4 - Join Forces

There's no successful internet entrepreneur I know of who's achieved his/her goals all by themselves.

They all have built their networks of supporting partners. They all have their role models and mentors.

In fact, the bottom line is...

The Better Your Network The Better You'll Perform

You need a network or better community of like-minded people you can turn to and ask for help if you're in need. A community which supports and strengthens you whenever possible. A community you can share with and contribute to. And mentors who really care about your success and who will be there whenever you need their advice.

This is by far one of the best articles I’ve ever read and it’s something I look to relay to others in my own work. I had to share to my social media followers because the article spoke volumes. Thank you so much for your insight and inspiration. It’s something I appreciate and we need more of this in the world.

Well done on this article Veit, the hardest part is getting started and staying focused. We as a society have a tough time remaining focused and breaking down big goals into smaller bite-sized goals. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic
